Home Care Services
Nursing, medical review and physiotherapy delivered at home for elderly, chronically ill, post operative and disabled patients.
Some patients recover better at home, and some cannot reasonably travel at all. Our home care service brings clinical care to the house for elderly patients, people with chronic illness or disability, and patients recovering after surgery or a hospital admission.
This is a clinical service with documentation, escalation routes and named responsibility, not a companion service. Every visit is recorded and reviewed by the supervising doctor.
What home care covers
- Nursing visits for wound dressing, catheter care and injections
- Medication administration and supervision, including insulin
- Observation monitoring for blood pressure, glucose, temperature and oxygen saturation
- Post operative care and wound review after discharge
- Home physiotherapy for stroke and mobility rehabilitation
- Elderly care including pressure area care and falls prevention
- Palliative and end of life support with dignity and pain control
- Sample collection at home for laboratory testing
- Doctor home visits where the patient cannot travel
How it works
Every home care arrangement begins with an assessment visit that establishes the clinical needs, the home environment, who else is involved in caring, and what equipment is required. From that we produce a written care plan with a visit schedule and defined escalation criteria.
The family is given a direct line and clear instructions on what constitutes a reason to call immediately. Where a patient deteriorates, admission to Magodo or transfer to our intensive care unit is coordinated by us rather than left to the family to arrange.

Cost depends on what you actually need, and we would rather quote you accurately than post a figure that turns out not to apply. Call the front desk or send us a message with what you have been told so far, and we will give you the figure before anything is booked. If you hold an HMO plan we will check what it covers for this specific treatment first.

We serve Magodo, Shangisha, Ojodu, Berger, Ketu, Ogudu, Gbagada, Omole and the surrounding Lagos mainland areas. Ask the front desk about your specific location.
Is home care covered by HMOs?
Cover varies considerably by plan and most HMOs treat home care as an extended benefit rather than a standard one. We will confirm your position before the service starts.
Who you will see
Care in this department is coordinated by our clinical team at Magodo, with specialist input arranged where your condition calls for it. If you would like to be seen by a particular clinician, say so when you book and we will arrange it where the clinic schedule allows.
