Retainership and Family Health Plans
Annual healthcare arrangements for families and organisations who want a hospital that already knows them.
A retainership is an annual arrangement under which a family or an organisation has defined healthcare cover at SkyHigh for an agreed fee. It is a middle path between paying for every episode and buying a full HMO plan, and it works particularly well for families who want one hospital holding their whole record.
The practical benefit is continuity. Your history, your allergies, your previous results and your children's immunisation record sit in one place, which means faster decisions and fewer repeated tests.
What a retainership typically includes
Packages are structured around consultations, routine investigations, defined procedures and agreed inpatient provision. The exact composition is agreed at the outset and set out in writing so there is no ambiguity later.
- Consultations with our clinicians across covered specialties
- An agreed schedule of routine laboratory investigations
- Defined inpatient and admission provision
- Priority booking for scheduled appointments
- Annual health check for each covered member
- A named contact at the hospital
Corporate retainership
For organisations, retainership covers staff healthcare with periodic reporting to the employer on utilisation and, where agreed, on aggregate health trends within the workforce. It pairs naturally with pre employment medicals and occupational health screening.
What this will cost you
Cost depends on what you actually need, and we would rather quote you accurately than post a figure that turns out not to apply. Call the front desk or send us a message with what you have been told so far, and we will give you the figure before anything is booked. If you hold an HMO plan we will check what it covers for this specific treatment first.
Common questions
How is this different from an HMO?
An HMO is an insurance product covering you across a network of providers. A retainership is a direct arrangement with this hospital. Some families hold both, using the retainership for continuity of care and the HMO for wider cover.
Can I add family members later?
Yes. Packages are usually structured per covered member and can be adjusted at renewal or, in most cases, mid term.
Who you will see
Care in this department is coordinated by our clinical team at Magodo, with specialist input arranged where your condition calls for it. If you would like to be seen by a particular clinician, say so when you book and we will arrange it where the clinic schedule allows.

Speak to someone now, or book a time that suits you
The front desk answers at every hour of the day. If it is urgent, call. If it can wait, the booking form takes about two minutes.
